That's a wrap! 2026
And that's all the events for 2026! It was an interesting year since this is my first year vending. I'll be more active in 2027 but I need to go make my zines! This is a series called 'Working..." and will feature Washington State Ferries (again) and another transit system, the Bay Area Rapid Transit! I'm aiming for around 60 pages per book and they'll have all new artwork and some text pages. It's not going to be like the Propeller series in terms of format. Will do a proper introduction of the retired WSF boats some other time, but this one will show off most of them (hopefully) and some other bits and pieces. The BART one will have a little more introductory things to it since it's the first time you guys are going to see it versus the introduction you got to WSF via Propeller. The two booklets will have a lot of differences among content and format and hopefully I'll be able to make it to all the events I plan on applying for next year! See you then!
Zine Events 2026 Update
I decided to vend at a few events this year. These are all in Washington since I will be selling zines that mostly pertain to the Washington State Ferries. Events will be: Seattle Zine Fest and Bremerton Zine Fest. I also have my Propeller series in Paper Pushers Print Shop, which is a zine store in Seattle at 1200 5th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101. I admit I am quite nervous as I have never vended zines or anything else that's considered an art.
disappointed
I was looking up the BART, or Bay Area Rapid Transit from my hometown. They have done a lot of interesting marketing such as their new mascots and their online store. I know Washington is not California, but it is so disappointing to see that despite having more decades than the BART, being more iconic, and just being a cooler public transit system in general, WSF doesn't do anything like that.
Washington Zine Contest
I got an email and I won? I hope to see everyone else's zines soon!
